ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
KammerMahler is a professional, daring and mobile chamber orchestra like no other. Founded in 2013 by the current Artistic Director and Conductor, Caleb Young, KammerMahler has been pushing the expectations of the orchestra medium. The orchestra specializes in performing large scale symphonic works in a chamber orchestra setting. These pieces have been arranged for KammerMahler's symphonette instrumentation. This provides audiences with opportunities to engage with these works from a fresh perspective. Klaus Simon has arranged Mahler's great Ninth Symphony for string quintet and reduced winds. This offers a unique perspective of this valedictory work.
