ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kane Daily is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter whose many different influences have given him a unique approach to writing and performing music. Incorporating rock, blues, and roots music, Kane's music takes on a form all its own.

Kane brings Delta-influenced slide and early 1970s blues/rock riffs to both his live performances and original songwriting. He cites several people as his influences, from Ry Cooder to Johnny Cash to Muddy Waters, Johnny Thunders and Mick Taylor.

Spending years playing in the underground NYC rock scene, Kane's many influences and inspirations all lend facets to his style. His songs have a rough attitude mixed with his solid grasp of Delta and Chicago-style blues.

Denny Colt of the Music Paper wrote, "Kane's snarling guitar licks complimented the vocals and his dominant slide work brought the late, great Duane Allman to mind."

The CD "Ain't No Millionaire," released in autumn 2002,
is a collection of both blues classics and Kane's original songs.

According to Dr. Blues of Long Island Entertainment,
"Tasty Slide and witty lyrics fill the original cuts of this platter...Kane is a stylistic hybrid of Piedmont-rocking and Mississippi hill-country with hard rhythms, soft chords, driving motion, and smoky vocals."

Kane has appeared in many local New York music festivals between 2002 and now, and has been featured on a number of collaborations with fellow musicians.
