Album Notes
Country music has always been a part of my life. I grew up in rural western New York in farm country. My father, Peter Volpe, was an accomplished musician and fronted our family band with my mom, Eleanore, on bass guitar and brothers, Don and Bob on lead guitar and drums.

When I was a little girl I learned to sing in the band and have never stopped. My love of Classic Country Music was born in that little one-room schoolhouse on Thornton Road.

Now I am an accomplished musician and actress and perform professionally throughout the country. I have appeared on CMT’s “Can You Duet” and alongside Ryan Seacrest on TNN’s “Ultimate Revenge”. I have made people laugh on the Disney Cruise Lines and Unpacked My Adjectives in the National Tour of “Schoolhouse Rock Live”. Last year I starred in “Funny Girl” as Fanny Brice and received rave reviews and have worked with such Broadway stars as Shirley Jones, Adam Pascal ("Rent") and Cady Huffman ("The Producers").

Teaming up with accomplished songwriter Chuck Pelletier has been a great partnership. We are now making a splash in the world of California Country. Chuck's music and lyrics capture my quirky, yet big hearted personality perfectly as we find our own niche in the world of country music.

What can you expect from The Karen Volpe Band?
Classic Country Standards delivered with a lot of heart and soul as well as some kick ass vocals. The show is interspersed with stories and anecdotes from my life as well as original songs that are both heart breaking and funny as hell.

Karen Volpe puts the comedy in country!
Karen Volpe serves up a special platter of comedy, country songs in this high-voltage offering. Ms. Volpe is a combination of Karen Carpenter, Loretta Lynn and Gilda Radner with her own unique style thrown into the mix. On this brilliant disc she croons tunes penned by genius Chuck Pelletier. Each song is a stand-out in acting ability and div brava as she plays the boozed up house wife in the hysterical "I Drink Because I Love You", the little girl lost in the heart-bending "Daddy Will You Love Me" to the over our heads in debt pean "No Money Down". Karen delivers the goods in these toss back to early country songs with a new modern twist. I'm certain all these songs will become your favorites.

That's Karen!
This album is fun! The lyrics will make you laugh, except for 2 beautiful ballads that will captivate you.

Music Makes Friends Across Many Worlds.
I have a wee confession to make ,even though I am Irish and living in Ireland where American Country Music is very popular I am not really a big fan of it.
But I love music of all kinds and after hearing a wee snippet of Karen Volpe's comedy country songs and especially her slow ballads which are definitely not comedy songs I think I could begin to like American Country Music.
If it does this for me think of what it could do for you
