ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Karla Kincaid is a NC based singer/songwriter debuting her album "Songbird". Basically written as an ode to her journey in life as a wife & mother of 3 young children, the album displays her true talent as a soulful vocalist & rhythm guitarist. Her smooth alto voice has been described as a "massage for the ears" while her music harkens back to the days of the 1960s/70s singer/songwriters who wrote what they knew & sang from their hearts.
With a heavy jazz influence, you'll hear echos of some of the female jazz greats in the way Karla approaches a performance. This album is true, pure & authentic with minimal disruptions in the simplicity of acoustic guitar & voice. Another listener described the album as "dancing in the rain" & "smiling through tears". Cozy up with your favorite mug of fair-trade coffee & listen to this album on repeat.
