ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After more than 2 years of composing and experimenting comes the album Good Future, the first world-wide release from electronica artist Kas. At the heart of the music are 8-bit melodies and basslines composed entirely on a Nintendo Gameboy Advance, along with a few other instruments and devices to fill out the groove. All of the tracks are live performances which are then edited, designed and refined digitally. The result is an album filled with catchy rhythms, unique musical sound design, dark passages and bright melodies.

James Donaldson

Best Indie Ambient Chiptune of 2012
This debut from Toronto-based "Kas" is a culmination of years of experiments in a wide range of styles. Kas is a member of Acid Toilet Rock pioneers The Wasted Garbagemen, a truly underground phennomenon that defies classification. He is also the brains behind Toronto chiptune pillars Texas Hold'em, known for their dance-able clic beat creations.
This collection of solo works is a mix of swinging bouncing sounds with crisp accents and ethereal backgrounds recalls the best in ambient and drum and bass from Eno to Aphex Twin. Memories of Amnesia is a particularly engaging track that seems to feature slowed down landscapes and dark auditory poetry.
Masterfully mixed and engineered this is a great release to listen while working, entertaining or mind-expanding. 10 out of 10.
