Album Notes
1. heart ~ written in a motel room in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, while on a journey looking for my heart. As Glinda told Dorothy when she finally reached the Emerald City, “You’ve always had the power”...
2. happy endings - dedicated to Tinkerbell, who brought us enchanted Sunday evenings, and to a young piano student’s innocent imagination.
3. chanty - for Ken Hartz - he loved to sing and he loved to sail.
4. care - for Dori and Ron’s wedding - much love to you always!
5. white raven - a sojuorn in the Santa Cruz mountains.
6. sun salute - originally for Rudra Press’s prenatal yoga DVD series, this simple waltz is offered as a prayer that all beings who come in find a world of sweetness and grace.
7. wedding day - dedicated to my beloved friends at Driftwood Cove.
8. glory be - to Sally and Steve Baldwin, all love and light to you.
9. release - an arrangement of the second movement of “Friday Nights,” my piece for cello and piano.
10. lavender shadows - Eagle Harbor, Washington, in February.
11. lavender blues - needing a break from the Pacific Northwest in February.
12. dusk - an evocative word seen on a sign at the entrance to a park in the Santa Monica Mountains - Trail Closed Dusk to Dawn - sparked this piece.
13. row, row, row your boat - may all your streams be gentle dreams.
Recorded at the beautiful Big Red Studio with the amazing Billy Oskay.
