Album Notes
A multi-instrumentalist with a rich and lyrical voice, Kate Price blends cross cultural influences that take the listener on an intimate journey through lush sonic landscapes.

Kate started singing at a very young age, singing harmony with her older sisters. A few years later her passion for ethnic music was awakened when she heard Bulgarian and Turkish music at a folk dance festival. She became a vocalist and dancer in Santa Barbara Folk Dance Ensemble when she was just fourteen. In her twenties, she fell head over heels in love with a hammered dulcimer. Her first several recordings were traditional music of the British Isles, but she began writing her own compositions after a head on collision at a combined speed of ninety miles per hour.

who can replace passion?
...a unique journey through familiar landscapes and sounds, along with a passionate kate price and a handful of equally generous as brilliant musicians... it’s an album which, no matter how many listeners it will ever have, will never have enough.
