Album Notes
Described as a well seasoned swinger that understands the music inside and out, jazz vocalist Kate Reid blends her unique sound and sense of phrasing into a style all her own while putting a fresh spin on the jazz standards from the American songbook. It has been said that there is an intelligence embedded in the membrane of Kate's music with her smart and witty word selection that makes her music so strong. Through the music of several of the great composers and lyricists, this album explores all the emotions that the heart experiences in a relationship. This jazz vocalist is also heard on the piano in her quartet on several of these classic straight-ahead swing tunes, lush ballads and groovin' latin tunes. Kate 'flirts with the music, and has fun!"

Unbelievable that Kate isn't famous
I have heard Kate Reid perform live many times, and it's just a quirk of fate that most jazz lovers haven't heard of her. Her voice, phrasing, intonation and improvisation are AMAZING. Really. She's up there with Shirley Horn and Diana Krall. Such a captivating and sexy performer.

Beautiful vocals
I love this very smooth vocalist! I'd also like more info on the side men, the composers and producer. "Just Squeeze Me (But Don't Tease Me)" is a Duke Ellington/Lee Gains song from the 40s.
