Album Notes
Having experienced hope deferred, I have learned to hold on to a fitting psalm of deliverance that outlasted the trial of my faith during that season. That song of the hour always seemed to beam light that kept my expectation in a hope-filled posture until the contradiction that was against it was disproved by the turnaround I received from God. That bursting hope gave my faith the evidence it needed to receive my breakthrough: I just knew that everything would work out in my favor, no matter how impossible the situation seemed. May this tranquil melody customize breakthrough in your favor. Without a shadow of doubt, naturally, dawn always breaks even the darkest night. It may not feel like it, but the darkest part of the night is also, always the shortest. You can apply that very principle to your personal situation right now. No matter how gloomy and dismal it appears outside, when God’s light shines you experience His joy—the Lord’s glorious and triumphant state that never ends. That’s the favor of God. “When the Lord brought back the captives [who returned] to Zion, we were like those who dream [it seemed so unreal]. Then were our mouths filled with laughter, and our tongues with singing. Then they said among the nations. The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us! We are glad! Turn to freedom our captivity and restore our fortunes, O Lord, as the streams in the South (the Negeb) [are restored by the torrents]. They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing. He who goes forth and bearing seed and weeping [at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing] shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him”, Psalm 126, The Amplified. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. If you are still weeping, then it is not harvest. That is why God desires to change your season to match the finished work of Jesus Christ; however, we determine the timeframe as our perception is changed from hopelessness to confident expectation. The Word says there is “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance”, Ecclesiastes 3:4. Laughter changes your season because it is a seed that overturns what you thought was an endless time for only weeping: it is by God’s love, grace, mercy, and goodness, that your mourning is turned into joyful mornings because now you know you outlasted the pain of change. Arise my brother, arise! Arise my sister, arise! Wipe your weeping eyes. “Arise, shine: for thy light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you…and the days of thy mourning shall be ended”, Isaiah 60:1,20. Whose report will you believe? Believe the report of the Lord. “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost”, Romans 15:13. Hope In The Light is one of the songs penned for the musical “And There Was Light”.
