ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Originally born in New Zealand, Kat started writing songs at 13, and 16 years later, she's still going. Her passions lie in performing live with her piano, getting to know her listeners (especially on Twitter), and she writes a lot about the relationships with the people we love, showing both the good and bad.

After her successful self-funded EP release Hiding in 2006, Kat has focused on performing across Edinburgh and releasing live, individual recordings. After sourcing crowd-funding from her fans, she is ready to release this highly-anticipated full-length debut.

Shine On is a showcase of many years of songwriting, as well as more recent compositions. Her many works have been compared to her influences such as Sarah McLachlan, Fleetwood Mac, Vanessa Carlton, Sarah Slean and many others.
