ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kawika Regidor, the gorgeous island boy from Maui, could go a long way on his hunky good looks. How
refreshing to discover that he’s a bona fide talent - a well rounded musician who plays guitar, ukulele and
Polynesian drums, songwriter, Tahitian dancer, and singer - with a killer voice! Kawika’s debut release,
“The First Time,” garnered him a Na Hoku Hanohano “Most Promising New Artist” nomination.
“Paradise,” his second release, 14 songs/12 originals, is contemporary island music at its best;
familiar, yet fresh and new. “Want You To Know” is catchy and romantic and “For Your Love” has a soft,
sweet skank. “Take Your Clothes Off,” a playful original featuring Hoku award winner O-shen, is good fun
Jawaiian. Kawika’s small town roots provided the inspiration for the upbeat, “Poor Boy From Maui,” and the
sentimental “Hamoa Bay.” He returns to backyard kanikapila days with “Na Ka Pueo.”
Kawika’s voice and music will show you what “Paradise” is all about!
