Album Notes
A Colorado native, singer-songwriter Kaye Kelly's long anticipated debut album "Coming Undone" was well worth every minute of the wait. The eleven-song disk weaves the listener through Kelly's poignant lyrics exploring themes of self-confrontation, tragic loss, and starry-eyed dreams. Kelly's vocals have been described as "...so mesmerizing, she jolts the listeners straight out of their seats and holds on tightly to their heartstrings until the very last lyric is fervently delivered...". While each of the well crafted songs contained on this album stands solidly on its own, put together, this collection of tunes make a remarkable album. No doubt it will make a substantial dent in the folk/rock music market. The combination of her forthright lyrics and the amount of uninhibited emotion that she puts into every word is apt to make one feel as if they have personally taken the journey through Kelly's head - and have reached the crossroad with her where she searches for ther sanity. At times she wavers on the line of being so brutally honest - the listener is almost afraid to go there with her.

The solid arrangements are the perfect compliment to her gutsy vocals, ranging from the most intimate pairing of acoustic guitar and voice - to the intricate harmonies and rhythms of the six-piece band. This is no surprise as Kelly's background not only lies in the songwriting field, but in the jazz field as well. After singing professionally at Disney World for two years, Kelly moved to Boston to complete her Master's degree in jazz studies. Boston has now become her stomping grounds and the place she calls home. Her songwriting and voice have often been compared to Shawn Colvin and Sheryl Crow - but make no mistake about it - this girl's got her own thing going on - and it will not go unnoticed. One gets the feeling through listening to this album that Kelly may well have come undone, but that she has definitely found her way.

Innovative and intense....not only can you hear her words, you feel them too.
Kaye's voice is strong, and confident. her songs are a mix of upbeat attitude and heartfelt impressions of life, love, and music. The songs remind me of a cross between Indigo Girls, Sarah Mclaughlin, and Shawn Colvin. This is definitely among my top 10 pick for new and upcoming artists!

A Must Hear!!
This is a fantastic album....The music, lyrics and vocal delivery are gorgeous! I have owned this album for some time now and appreciate it more and more every time I listen to it. In addition, I have had the pleasure of seeing Kaye Kelly perform live and can honestly say that she sounds just as amazing live as she does on this recording...sadly, a rarity amongst many popular performers today. Kaye is quite a talent and I would recommend this album to anyone who likes good music and GREAT singing!!

Saucy, Touching and Heartfelt.
I love this CD from Kaye Kelly! Her songs are emotional, powerful, touching and heartfelt. Kaye is in the groove on this CD. I keep humming the songs after the CD has ended. I am hoping that Kaye will perform locally in Seattle but until then I will keep playing “Coming Undone”.
