ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kayoko Tachibana created this album after Nori Tachibana suddenly passed away on May 21 2015. It took her over two years and a half after his passing to complete this project, along with the kindest support of Yutaka Hosoi, the producer. Nori and Kayoko were the members (guitar and vocal) of the band called Kaja (pronounced Kaja).

All songs are written by Nori Tachibana. While the lyrics for “Little Brother” and “Yume Miru Futari” are written by Nori, Kayoko wrote the lyrics for the other songs. The previously mentioned two songs, plus “Ame no Monologue” and “Eu e Voce” were written for their band, Kaja in 1980. Kayoko rewrote the lyrics for “Requiem - Kazeoi bito” before Kaja's reunion concert in February 2015. Soon after the concert, Nori and Kayoko wrote their first song since 1982, “S-M-I-L-ing Face”. Sadly, the song became Nori's last song on this earth. Nori passed away three months later - Kayoko then wrote lyrics over Nori's guitar tunes.

In “Wind of May”, ”Falling Leaves”, “S-M-I-L-ing Face” and “Requiem-Kaze Oi Bito”, Nori’s guitar tracks were used. Their friend, Masanori Oba, graciously took out Nori’s guitar files from his computer and sent them to a dear friend, Hosoi, who arranged them in Tokyo.

Kaja's original members, also participated in this recording. All songs are arranged by Yutaka Hosoi, the keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist of Sentimental City Romance. Most of the recording took place in Yutaka Hosoi Studio. Yutaka also contributed his audio engineering skills on this project. Additional recordings were made at Feles Music Studio (Tokyo). Toru Uryu made an additional recording at B.B.Kenchan (Fukuoka) for “S-M-I-L-ing Face”. Vocal recordings were made by Kallan Nishimoto at Flytrap Studio in Oakland, California. Mixing engineer was Dan Feizler and mastering engineer was Ken Lee of El Cerrito, California.
