Album Notes
KC Craine is an acoustic guitarist from Portland, Oregon. "Second Wind" features smooth fingerstyle instrumental guitar compositions perfect for relaxing on Sunday morning with a cup of tea or easing the rush-hour commute during the working week. A former student of Grammy-winning fingerstyle wizards Doug Smith and Mark Hanson, KC's style is both understated and lyrical. This CD showcases some of his finest fingerstyle work.

A veteran musician best known for leading the San Francisco bay area band "KC Craine and the Conditions" in the mid-80's, KC shared the stage with other well-known power-pop stalwarts like Huey Lewis and the News, Greg Khin and, Eddie and the Tide. During that time, KC won several songwriting awards and eventually was lured to Los Angeles with hopes of a major-label deal. After an ill-fated stint with a label in Hollywood, KC returned to his roots in Oregon, started a family, and began to devote his attention to solo acoustic guitar.

Now, after a 10 year hiatus, "Second Wind" marks his return to music. Elegantly recorded, this CD finds KC exploring the peaceful soul of acoustic fingerstyle guitar with an entirely renewed musical spirit.

Take a breath, let your troubles go, and listen...

One of my all time favorite acoustic guitar musicians!
Second Wind is a wonderfully composed collection of fingerstyle acoustic guitar tunes. KC and his music has truely been an inspiration to me! I keep a copy in the car at all times for those drives to and from work and another copy at home for entertaining friends and family. Everyone who has met KC and heard the music are so amazed with his talent and ability to entertain through song and story telling...and KC himself will tell you that his stories are "mostly true". ;)

"McKenzie Pass" is a delight, reminds me a bit of Windham Hill guitarists I have heard.

I just saw your concert last night and enjoyed your music very much. I found myself moved and led to introspection several times.
