ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Bay Area songwriter Deborah Crooks' (www.deborahcrooks.com) lyric driven and soul-wise music draws on folk, rock, Americana and the blues and is often compared to Lucinda Williams and The Cowboy Junkies. Wyoming-born-and-raised songwriter/guitarist Kwame Copeland (www.kwamecopeland.com) was reared on folk and steeped in Dylan before heading out to California to forge his own brand of Americana. Born of a songwriting challenge, 'KCDC' finds the two artists displaying both their literary chops and post-punk and twang tendencies, with nods to such influences as Patti Smith, Wilco and Alejandro Escovedo.
