ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Thus Was the Week That Was... from the Blogosphere, to the media, to the unplugged... microphone! God bless America!
My home, sweet home! Can that mean ANYTHING other than flag-waving, ultra-patriotic, idiotarian this-wing or that-wing?

Well, from the recordings here, updated (almost-)weekly from emails, clippings, news-items and BLOGS, you can judge for yourself where America's going, and how she got there.
If the names Steven den Beste, Cox and Forkum, Mark Steyne and Rachel Lucas mean anything to you, you'll savor this mostly-spoken CD for its clear formulations of incisive, clear-text clarifications of what's important with America and Americans in these war-torn, difficult times.

If, on the other hand, these names DON'T ring any bells for you, then you are in for a TREAT! If you're high-school age and wonder HOW America can possibly get itself INTO a war with Iraq; if you're college age, and feel yourself surrounded by well-meaning people shouting for 'Peace', but you think MAYBE there's more to it all than 'oil' or 'Stop the War'... if you're well into middle-age and think that there must be a larger picture to it all than the 24/7 embedded coverage and anti-American protesting... then YOU are in for a treat!

The collected emails, personal thoughts and distilled essence of blogosphere contributers like Whittle, Steyn, den Beste and others are out there to show how America differs from and resembles other nations... and it is such intelligent, well written essays which formed the basis for these tracks recorded by KDHooper, -an American vet of the VietNam era whose personal odyssey has taken him expatriate, living outside America longer than within her borders- and have brought to life the warp and weave of logic and emotion, investigating with you a multi-layered, finely-woven tapestry of all that's good about America!

These readings speak to the individuals in America, those who've longed to understand the America/Middle East process enough to answer detractors in an informed, courteous way to get across most of the message of America's strength and essential goodnesses.

Incisive examinations of why America is, what America is about, who America trusts, how America calls itself into being and how America fundamentally differs from every other nation on our planet...

Read with clarity, emotional fervor, commitment and enunciation, these essays help listeners -both American and others- understand what is happening in America and Iraq and the Middle East today; and why Iran and North Korea are important to Americans and the Free World, TODAY.

KDHooper has, himself, served in the Army Security Agency, doing his part on mountain-tops, on an island just south of the North Korean border, to mark the defining line between Communism's awful horror and the Free World's responsible liberties.

If you think 'Peace' is the answer, this is for you, to help you convince, persuade and enroll those around you. If you think that, at least in this case, war was required, then this is for you, so you can learn for yourself valuable arguments for and against war. Which are valid? You'll know when you hear them...

And you can know that this isn't being done for riches or wealth! The $9.11 price-tag through CD-Baby covers CD-Baby's $4.00 handling fee for each CD, and sends a mere $5.11 on to Mr Hooper, who earmarks a large portion of that for more on-line support for all that's good about America. $9.11? Isn't that... yes, it is a symbolic amount, and you get points for sharp thinking!

And while each album (Check in twice a month for updated versions with commentaries on current events 'hot off the wire') includes home-brewed songs, and the CD-creator's own caricatures of such widely-known personages as Art LaFleur, Ned Eisenberg and Mel Gibson, all drawn from life ON-LOCATION (filming Air America in Chiang-Mai, Thailand, for example) these are not the ONLY special tracks and goodies awaiting you on this value-packed CD !!

You will also find, recorded during a live phone-in radio program, an eloquent heartfelt plea for Americans from Iraqi-American Angie; and various graphics (war-related and other) for viewing at your leisure.

Heartwarming insights into the valiant missions of US heros in Iraq
I received this CD as a present and found it absolutely amazing, the voice of Dr Hooper is truly amazing showing full operatic ability he enters a unique poetic song mode that is sure to entrance and educate us all on what is really happening in Iraq, his insights are surprising even if he was a top US intelligence officer in Korea. Both war and peace enthusiasts are sure to be fascinated by this totally unique gem of an album, I have included it in my investment quality memorabilia list already.
