Album Notes
KEELHAUL is a Vancouver BC based pub band focused on bringing the Maritime Kitchen Party to wherever the music is needed.

Atlantic Canada is known for its warmth, hospitality and infamous kitchen parties. The KEELHAUL crew has emerged from the very kitchen where they started and taken their rustic edge to a higher level by arranging traditional Irish and Newfoundland songs with a contemporary flair.

Propaganda aside, KEELHAUL plays fun music and they have fun doing it - and it shows.

Intent on sharing their love and appreciation for traditional music, in addition to their regular gigs, KEELHAUL has joined in on trad sessions from Oahu to Newfoundland and performed complimentary gigs for numerous fundraising events.

In July 2008, KEELHAUL decided to capture the spirit of their music in the studio. It was a long process but worth it - this is the fruits of their efforts. Coordinating busy schedules and dealing with crashed computers and the occasional family crisis, KEELHAUL’s first CD, ~a maritime tradition ~, was released on March 17, 2009. It truly is the result of blood, sweat and tears and bursting with heart and soul. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this little taste of the Maritime Kitchen Party.

And remember: Those that like us, like us a lot!
