ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I've been in love with the Guitar and making music for over 50 years now and growing up during the sixties meant I had first hand exposure to some of the most influential and iconic guitarists of our time.

It was natural for me to migrate towards Blues and Rock guitar after seeing/hearing the greats such as Clapton, Hendrix, Kossoff, Green etc. so it was natural progression for me at the age of 14 to form my own 3 piece with a pawn shop Hofner Verithin and a home made Amp and Cab.

Thus started my love affair with writing, composing and performing my own take on what's now called 'Blues/Rock' in the pubs and clubs of my native S.E. London, a passion that lives within me to this day.

During my career I've been blessed with running some great outfits, sharing the stage and playing alongside side some wonderful talent such as Deep Purple, Peter Frampton, Joe Bonamassa, Wishbone Ash, Walter Trout, Thunder, Focus, Martin Barre, The Hamsters, Wilko Johnson to name but a few.

One of my previous band's 'Blue on Black' also earned this accolade from the mighty 'Ian Gillan' who unexpectedly turned up to see us one night before he booked us to open for 'Purple' during their 'Bananas' tour :-

"First time I saw Keith's Band I thought 'Damn these guys are good'. I wasn't alone either, the audience loved them. Second time I watched them do a fine job opening for Deep Purple. If you get a chance to hear them I can thoroughly recommend Keith and his outfit".

Now, after several Band releases and the stresses and strains of keeping Blue On Black and Blacktop Deluxe on the road for the past 17 years, I asked myself, what's next for 'Keith Howe', after I finished Blacktop Deluxe in October 2017 ?

Well, I was certainly not going to stop making music that’s for sure, so I have embarked on a new recording project, my first Solo Album !

So, with the expert help and guidance of the brilliant Gareth Young and his awesome facilities at Cube Recording Studio, we have engineered, arranged and produced my first Solo Album 'That's the Vibe'.

14 Tracks of new songs which I am very proud of and can't wait for you to hear.

The Album 'has contributions from some great players and we've entrusted the mastering to the legendary 'Pete Maher' (of Rolling Stones, U2 etc. fame) .

I really hope you enjoy the new songs as much as I've enjoyed writing and performing them.

Please feel free to get in touch via the website, Facebook or Twitter links below as I would love to hear your reaction to the 'Noo Toons' :-)
