Album Notes
The past few years have been tough. Many of my musical heroes passed away, many of them far too soon. I decided I wanted to try and write a tribute to these artists that helped influence me. They are in large part why started down this musical road in the first place.

The first thing I did was make a list of as many of my musical heroes who have died since John Lennon was murdered. I then listed a song, or a line from a song that meant something to me by each of those artists. I then began stringing those song titles together as a single lyric as best I could. The only rule I gave myself was the “Imagine” by John Lennon would be the first word of the song. Another huge influence on me was George Martin, the genius Producer of The Beatles. The way some parts were recorded and many of the production elements are my tribute to Sir George.

I was not able to include every artist that made my original list. And unfortunately more artists had passed away after I had completed the lyric. I wanted to find some way to include two of those artists, Prince and Tom Petty. So if you listen carefully, you will hear tributes to these two giants as well in some of the production elements.

The cover art is also a tip of the hat of sorts. The colors and font used are reminesent of Elvis Presley's first album, and also "London Calling" by The Clash, which was also a bit of a tribute to Elvis. The jukebox cards have most of the songs and artists that are included in the lyrics. I did some reseach to make sure the "B-sides" were correct for most of the songs that were released as singles. Some artistic license was taken in some cases. Many thanks to Rob Kosinski for his help with the design and layout of the cover art as well as the mixing and mastering of "Heroes and Ghosts"
