ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Across the Rocky Mountain region Kelly Aspen is well known for her angelic voice, intense songwriting and unique style. A native Texan, Kelly was literally moved by the music when her mother fell in love with Colorado, inspired by the songs of John Denver.

Kelly's trademark voice has an innocent yet sensual sound, dynamic range, character, and richness. Kelly's outgoing spirit and obvious passion have gained her the reputation as being “Colorado's Country Sweetheart”.

Kelly's music is a mix of mainstream country with bluegrass and rock influences. She's drawn to complex musical productions that encompass the acoustic country sounds of the banjo, mandolin and dobro; a sound that her producer, Ilya Toshinsky (former Bering Strait member) has brought to life in her 2007 album release titled “A Thousand Dreams“ with cuts from hit songwriters including Billy Montana, Jamie O’Neal and Kris Bergsness.

Kelly's band contains the best players Colorado has to offer. She has opened for major recording artists including Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Mark Wills, Phil Vassar, Pat Green, Ty England and Chad Brock. Kelly was recently the featured cover story in Colorado Music Buzz Magazine and has received encouraging radio attention from Nationally Syndicated programs such as A Prairie’s Home Companion on Public Broadcast Radio, The Conman Radio Show, The Back Porch Radio Show, Story In A Song, and on a regional level; Denver’s KYGO, Kiss Country in the mountains and K99 in Northern Colorado.

In television, Kelly has appeared in two commercials, was interviewed in “America's Honky Tonks” for the Discovery channel and was named “Country's Next Big Star” on Denver's WB2 news.

Steve McGrew, (a D.J. for Denver's KYGO) states, "Kelly Aspen is the real deal. Her performance is one that so many only dream of...Kelly has everything it takes to be a star".

This is a great CD
Kelly Aspen is someone who knows her roots. While many well known country singers are flip flopping to more pop oriented music, Kelly is happy in her skin so to speak feeling right at home with country genre and that\'s a good thing for us. Kelly music is not afraid to be coutnry so you\'ll hear some twang in her music made possible by a mix of fiddles, some banjos, steel guitars and some great vocal harmonies; My favorite cuts are Crazy like that, Everything,I Still Want to Taste and a superior rendition of the John Denver classic to round out the CD. Check it out and buy it. You won\'t be sorry.
