Album Notes
Sonically stunning, this is pianist Kelly Carpenter's long-awaited followup to his previous instrumental release "Draw Me Close". This time around he brought a whole band into the studio to create cinematic ambient post-rock that is both engaging and relaxing, energetic enough for driving, light enough for background music when working or entertaining friends, and serene enough for meditating or zoning out.

Writes Kelly: "It all started out with a dream that practically all studio musicians share... warming up for a session with some impromptu jamming while the studio engineers finish their setup... 15-30 minutes of the sheer joy of making raw music, getting in the zone, playing whatever we feel like, everything sounding terrific in the headphones... the thought would land: what if we could just go into the studio one day and record 'this'?"

Here are some reviews by those who purchased the pre-release version in April 2011:

"Your CD is superb. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it while driving yesterday.Your talents have culminated in this outstanding album. I recommend it to all who enjoy this type of music. What a rich experience." - Dave

"[This is] what I, as a yoga-lover, call 'yoga music'. Seriously, from what I hear, it would fit perfectly in a yoga class. Very relaxing. I like it a lot. Also, when I was playing it, my 6.5 month old, who was playing on the floor and making her noises, got sort of calm and quiet when the music started." - Fran

"I just got your new disc in the mail!!!! It sounds to me like the sound track to dreams and aspirations. I love it!" - Darcy

"I sooo enjoy the CD. It is wonderful to wind down and I often listen to it as I drift off to sleep. Not that it's boring, I like to listen to it also after a particularly hectic day, it's very soothing." - Sue

"I just got this CD in the mail yesterday. Great music to relax with, read or whatever. Great addition to your music library." - Annette

"Just listened to the sampler of your CD. AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL. WONDERFUL SONICS. EAR CANDY, LOVE IT! Yes, I am yelling. Can’t wait to buy it." - Phil

"Just have to let you know we are traveling across the southeast (8 states so far on a 16 day trip) Passages has been a gift from above! Gorgeous and the perfect thing to listen to as we enjoy all this fabulous beauty! Love it!" - Suzanne
