ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kelly started Indiana School Of Music in 1980, and spent the next five years pursuing a degree in music education. There he met a friend who introduced him to Broadway Musicals. This type of music became a new found love. Everyday he and his friends would crowd into a practice room to play and sing show tunes.

In 1985, he moved to Orlando, Florida and began playing piano for hotels in the area. These included the Holiday Inn Airport, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and the Buena Vista Palace. He returned to school to finish his degree and auditioned at the University Of Central Florida in 1995 as a voice major. He studied with Dr. Joanne Stephenson for two and a half years and completed his degree in the Spring of 1998.

Immediately following graduation, he auditioned for Walt Disney World and was hired the same day as a pianist/vocalist for all of the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. Since his audition, he has played at the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney MGM Studios. He has also performed at the Living Seas at EPCOT, Magic Music Days at the Magic Kingdom, the Grand Floridian Hotel, Coronado Springs and the Beach and Yacht Club.

Kelly has recorded two CD's. The first, "Affectionately Yours", is a collection of piano solos, including songs from Cats, Evita and Ice Castles. The second, "The Phantom Of The Palace" is a collection of piano and vocals with songs from Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and an original song composed and performed by Kelly Richards.

He has played in theaters, cabarets and piano bars all over Central Florida. For the casts of Superboy, Crazy For You, Evita, Five Guys Named Moe -- and for such celebrities as Paula Zahn, Steve Guttenburg, John Travolta, Billy Joel, Christi Brinkley, Ann Miller and many more.
