ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Unvarnished Truth is the result of a lifetime of observing, writing, and performing by award-winning singer-songwriter Kelly Gazzaway. The album explores life from a Christian's perspective -- without preaching. The arrangements range from acoustic folk-bluegrass, through country, to rockabilly and rock. The album, co-produced by Bill Ockander, has taken a little over three years to come together. Musicians on the album include drummer Jay Weeks; upright bass player Marshall Billingsley (Bluegrass Alliance); Maggie Scales, fiddler extraordinaire (and symphony violinist); two excellent keyboardists, Joe Lowry and Charlie Clinton; and Rick Faucett on steel guitar. Kelly plays a number of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, resonator guitar, electric bass and mandolin. For those who have been waiting far too long for an album from this gifted artist, and for those who have not yet heard his work, this album will be a blessing.
