ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kelly Jackson is an international award winning Native American artist. Her edgy and soulful pieces have decorated stages across the US. Ms. Jackson’s genre is Native Americana, having roots in folk, jazz, country, hip/hop and rock all infused with native influences such as drums, shakers, bells and the majestic sound of the native flute. She composes rhythms and harmonies that compliment her native roots and the lyrical messages that invoke healing, self-empowerment, environmental protection and cultural reflection.

She recently added (THEE) Theodore Yancey to her list of talented artists that she's collaborated with. Theodore Yancey, who goes by the stage name Thee, is a vigilant Writer/Poet/Rap artist who's thought provoking work addresses political and social issues both nationally and globally. His music reflects positive change and cultural balance and can be heard on his most recent joint effort with The Black Poets Society on their 21st reunion LP titled "Positive Change". Thee is currently in the studio working on his debut solo album scheduled to be released in August 2017.
