Album Notes
By the time she was done, Lauren's first album WHEN taught her a lot about herself & where she's been in the past few years. "A lot of these songs weren't just written for this album. They come from my time abroad in England, from the growing up I was forced to do in my senior year of college, & from when I got married."

You may ask yourself...what's it like to listen to WHEN? Imagine a rich tapestry of music that washes over you & sucks you into another world...where sexy, seductive vocals are woven together with melodic harmonies & medieval bass lines. There are some splashes of jazz & electronica thrown in here & there to add distinction & variety. There's a fullness & a soothing quality, like being wrapped in a voluptuous, velvety bubble of sound & emotion.

Lauren's classically trained voice dominates throughout the album, pulling the rich orchestrations together. Her harmonies work together, not in competition with each other. The personal stories in each song tell of her own life, of the lives of her friends, & of the life that could be for a young, aspiring singer who plays the cello and listens to a lot of Tori Amos--maybe too much Tori Amos.

Guaranteed to touch you...want to know more? Contact Lauren herself at she's a big star who doesn't answer her own e-mail anymore. :)

Now divorced (hey-that's life in the fast lane!), Lauren has released her second album RED (also available at CDBaby), which highlights her talents as a cellist, & has performances planned throughout Virginia and surrounding areas. Check for her current schedule or to book her for your own event.

Background: Born August 8, 1976 in CA. Was always interested in music. At age 6, Lauren would sing & dance to all of her mother's albums. Her favorite: MAN OF LA MANCHA(though she didn't understand most of the words at the time). Learned the flute at age 11, cello at 13, has taught herself keyboard, & took classical voice lessons throughout college.

Likes: Lauren admits to being a bit of a nerd sometimes. Loves history, books (she admits to being a total bibliophile & a book club junkie), Harrison Ford, &writing music.

Powerful and seductive...
I love this cd! Lauren's voice is powerful and seductive and it draws you in and grabs your soul. She did a beautiful cover of Tori Amos's song 'Mother' in acapella! I never thought anyone could pull off a Tori cover song and do it justice but she not only does it justice, she owns the song with her haunting and powerful voice! BUY THIS CD, you won't regret it!

Finally a refreshing new artist with a phenomenal voice. Temptress/Goddess
I have heard the best of the best, and this music rocks. The artist's voice has a new and distinct quality, and this album is only the first of many great ones to come, I'm sure. When you listen to the WHEN album, you can expect that this artist will pull you into her world and she does. The CD is one of the greatest that this music lover has heard in decades. Keep 'em coming, Lauren, for WHEN is top notch and I can't wait for more. The best cuts on this CD are tracks 1,3 and 7, and the bonus track will feed your soul. One of the all time greats, you've got to get this CD. Your collection will increase in value with this addition. Fantastic CD!

A voice that is straight from The Goddess herself
Lauren's voice is like rich, golden honey pouring over your body. This CD gives me goosebumps. "Red on Black" is one of my favorites, and "Walking Down the Street" has the feel of a Tori Amos song. "Unfinished Song" is also gorgeous. Treat yourself to this CD and let her voice envelope you.
