ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From the CD:
The New York Suite which includes Last Train To Harlem, Kaela’s Song, and East 21st Street Brooklyn is dedicated to Stacey, who will forever be a new Yorker. Seneca’s Dance and A Ballad For Blue were written for my son Seneca Blue. The great Freddie Hubbard (1938-2008) was the inspiration for Hubtanium. I composed Penelope as a tribute to the life of Penelope Sue Morgan. Amazing Grace is a reworking of an arrangement I recorded on my 2006 “Francis Suite” album, and Let Me Loose is pianist Allyn Johnson’s hard swingin’ contribution to the recording.
