ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ever since the first Praise Him with Stringed Instruments recording was released in 2009, I have been receiving much encouragement and positive feedback from listeners in Canada and abroad. During that time, I have continued to write short compositions based on the Genevan Psalms at a rate of three or four per year. These are written both for wind band (including the high school bands in Langley, BC and Fergus, Ontario) but also for the annual Reformed String Camps held in BC and Ontario.

The possibility of producing a follow-up recording has been on my mind for some time, and I'm pleased to see it come to fruition. The arrangements and even the sequence of pieces were selected to closely mirror the original recording. Sixteen string players spent a very long day during the summer of 2013 to record the material. Only a few hours were needed for editing and mixing, which is a testament to the skill of the players. It's a wonderful blessing to have such talent and experience in the Reformed community.

It is my hope that this recording will once again provide a source of enjoyment and edification for its listeners, and a source of glory to God.
