Album Notes
Kevin Kastning performs new compositions on instruments he devised: Double Contraguitar, 30-string Contra-Alto guitar, 15-string Extended Classical guitar. Also on "A Connection of Secrets" is a new composition for solo piano. "Otherworld," Kevin's 2015 solo album, was No.1 on the iTunes Classical charts worldwide in September 2015. Kevin's albums are featured on radio stations and magazines worldwide, and every year at least one of his albums is named as a "Best of Year" by magazines and radio networks. "A Connection of Secrets" is Kevin's follow-up to the 2016 solo release "Skyfields."

-- "the playing here is far more intricate than it sounds and shows another side of Kastning in expected fine form. Guitar fans have to put this on their must have list. Killer stuff." - Midwest Record; review of "Otherworld" (US)

-- "Those who thought they knew everything about the guitar in general and especially guitarists will have to reopen their books and make new notes in the shadow of Kevin Kastning." - Music in Belgium magazine; review of "Otherworld" (Belgium)

--"In this album, Kevin shows his elegant virtuosity which is not about the speed of the played notes but about the way how he can rule the instruments during playing even when he plays lyrical and contemplative parts leaving a lot of silence. The album is realized in the possible highest professionalism, both in interpretation and sound quality. This CD is special in many aspects: the special guitars, the special tunings he used, and the music; how he formulated his musical thoughts altogether makes this album very valuable." - HiFi Magazine; review of "Skyfields," (Hungary)

--"Kevin Kastning is one of the most thought-provoking 20th century guitarists recording new music in the 21st century." - Music Web Express magazine; review of "Skyfields." (US)
