Album Notes
Midwestern guitar pop aficionado Kevin Lee and his band The Kings will release a six-song EP entitled Dusk Till Dawn to an eager worldwide following. Fans of powerful, hook-filled rock and roll will be familiar with Lee from his major-label years with his former band, The Lonesome City Kings, on the MCA imprint. Since then, Lee has put out a series of well-received albums chock full of Lee’s trademark songwriting approach, which is all about big hooks, chunky guitars, and melodies that can’t be forgotten. Dusk Till Dawn continues on this path, with six brand-new tunes that are certain to keep Lee fans clamoring for more. Rockers like “The Other Side” and the radio-ready ballad “Invisible” show that Lee hasn’t lost a step in the songwriting game and, if anything, demonstrate that he has improved his craft in recent years.

Not everything on Dusk Till Dawn is business as usual, however, with the biggest departure from past records is Lee’s use of his road band (bassist Dann Morr, drummer Erik Strommer, and keyboardist Peter Spero) to back him up in the studio rather than the cadre of Chicago session all-stars who Lee has chosen in the past. This gives the songs here a more live feel, the kind that can only come from musicians who have lived with the songs they are recording. Produced by Rick Barnes, whose client list includes The Smashing Pumpkins, George Clinton, and Lucky Boys Confusion, the EP is less about studio magic and more about gutsy, catchy rock songs that capture and keep listeners.

Wow! Yet ANOTHER solid release from the most underrated song-writer in the Chicago area. 'Dusk Till Dawn' not only picks up where 'Flip The Switch' and 'Loaded' left off, but leaves them standing in it's dust. If you liked any of Kevin's stuff before, this one's gonna blow you away. Tracks one and two, 'The Other Side' and 'I Still Believe' are radio-ready, and if listening to 'Invisible' with your girl (or guy) doesn't get you some hot action, then you need to find someone new! Haha! Check it out!

Best Kevin Lee Yet!
This CD sounds great. Awesome production, great songs, big guitars and killer harmonies! One of Chicago's best artists by far!

Great songs and hooks
The more I have listened the more I have enjoyed this cd, there's some great songs on this album. Good solid rock n roll and a couple of tasty slower tracks as well

Strong Melodic Rock
There's some really nice songs on this EP like 'The Other Side', 'I Still Believe' and 'Time Wont Stand Still', but I have too say 'Invisible' is the best song on offer, it really does have everything, a great song!

Thought I'd give this a listen since a friend of mine knows someone in the band. This is a great little record. You can really hear the influences. I recommend you pick up a copy if you like rock and roll.

Lee is a classic rocker/power popper in the Cheap Trick mold and the new EP with his backing band gets us off to a nice 2010 start. Opener "The Other Side" takes no prisoners with its driving rock style and big hooks, "Next Best Thing" rocks with attitude, and the power ballad par excellence "Invisible" would launch a thousand cigarette lighters. Rock on!
