Album Notes
Original jazz piano is just one musical direction for Memley. At the keyboard, he's at home with many styles of music and already known for his choral music: lush, deeply moving, and fresh. His choral compositions have been premiered with orchestra and choirs at Carnegie Hall, and performed all over the world. He is in demand as a commissioned composer and has been prominently featured at the national and regional conventions of the American Choral Directors Association.
You can find him at the keyboard for the San Joaquin Chorale of Fresno Pacific University and he's played for several regional honor choirs. In 2015, Memley accepted a full time position as music minister of the Kingsburg Community Church.
His passion is to compose, to teach music literacy and to mentor young musicians. Memley has also composed scores for film and enjoys the challenge and variety of that crazy business. He lives in Fresno with his wife, Melody, and three sons Mark, John, and Kyle.
