Album Notes
I've always had diverse tastes in music, and largely when most of these were written, I was seeking to bring something new to the table and carve my own style. I was heavily inspired by Jeff Buckley in his uniqueness and soul, and I loved the dissonance and nontraditional progressions found in both his music and artists like Billy Corgan. The songs are largely autobiographical, and I drew from Bruce Springsteen and Ryan Adams on ways to tell my own stories while keeping them open enough for a listener to relate to and possibly apply to their own life. I've always found listening to music that seems appropriate to my life situations, good or bad, to be comforting and affirming, and with my music, I want to give back and contribute to that tradition.
