Album Notes
I started playing piano at age 4. I switched to guitar at age 11 and never looked back. I had a small band in the army, and in 1982 I played and toured with “The Jimmy Vanzant Band”. I left in 1985 to pursue my own band and style of music. I played for a couple of years out of Gainsville and Jacksonville, Florida, with my first version of my band “Rakha”. In 1987 I won the “Battle of Bands” in Jacksonville, Florida and decided to move to L.A., CA. I had an audition with Ronnie James Dio, and then spent a good 8-9 years playing in my original band “Rakha” and my cover band “K.G.B.” “Rakha” had minor success, great band indeed. I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico and then to Dallas, Texas. I did studio work for a year in Dallas and Austin, Texas.

I moved back to Jacksonville, Florida and played in my cover band “Huge Richard” for the next few years, throughout Florida and Georgia. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia for a couple of years and did more studio work and participated in all sorts of projects. I won a guitar contest out of “Guitar Center” in 2004 in Atlanta. I moved back to Jacksonville, Florida and continued to play in “Huge Richard” for a few years. In 2009 I took 2 years off to put my own stories to music and song, this is what I have come up with... ”The Journey”
I hope you like and enjoy the songs.
