ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kike Perdomo is a saxophone player from the Canary Islands, Spain. This beautiful land is at the crossroads of different musical cultures: European, African and American. You´ll find all of them in his music. Celebrate Brooklyn has been inspired in NYC, in one of his staying in the city. Part 1 offers us a new journey through his compositions, new compositions and old ones with different point of view. Part 2 is arranged latin standars made from a friend of him and piano player of this part 2 called Mark Lomanno.
The musicians in Part 1 are: George Dulin, piano; Javier Moreno, upright bass; Greg Ritchie, Drums. On Part 2 the musicians are: Mark Lomanno, piano; Gregg August, upright bass; Vince Cherico, drums.
Primarily a performer with an unexpectedly strong command of the sax, Kike is also an accomplished composer having performed his original music with his self-titled group extensively in Europe and the US. Kike Perdomo holds a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from ESMUC in Barcelona, Spain.
Additional coaches include Dave Schnitter, Greg Lyons, Dick Oatts, Bill Evans ( sax), Eric Marienthal, Chris Cheek, Will Vinson and Jerry Bergonzi.
