ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kimbaya was a recording project intended to bring different people, cultures and music sensibilities together. After discovering a particular passion for Latin music styles, and performing with the top Latin ensembles in Australia, Pianist/Composer/Producer Vashti Sivell put this recording project together to express her own reflections of these musical experiences and influences. She collaborated with Singer/Songwriter Rose Paez, originally from Colombia (based in Melbourne, Australia) to contribute the lyrical content. Partly recorded in Melbourne, Australia and Cali, Colombia and mixed/mastered by David Carl (Colombia) Featuring special guests: Rebecca Kleinman, Jimmy Bosch, Luisito Quintero and Lulo Reinhardt.
