Start That Christmas Music

by Kim Mills

I write upbeat, sometimes funny, songs about subjects that interest me. I was a professional writer during my working years. I began writing songs about 2012. It is so much fun! Check out my songs on CD Baby: Testosterone; Sparkles, Glitter, and Shine.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I LOVE CHRISTMAS! It's my favorite time of year. I love everything about it: the Nativity story, the decorations, lights, Santas, and snow people. People are more cheerful. They smile more. I love the feeling of the Christmas season, the lifting of spirits. I had to write a song about it.
I love Christmas music! I like the old traditional recordings from Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis, and Judy Garland. I also like some of the newer songs, such as "Christmas Cookies" and "All I Want for Christmas is You." My very favorite is Karen Carpenter's "Merry Christmas, Darling." What a lovely song. It's not officially the Christmas season for me until I hear it for the first time.
My decorations go up in early November. I like Thanksgiving, but it just doesn't hold a candle to Christmas! Yes, some people shake their heads when they see my house. But--I don't care. I won't apologize--I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Note: I wrote the lyrics only for this song. John S. Brooks, Overland Park, KS, wrote the music. Isn't he talented?! The lovely soprano voice belongs to Kim Mills. She was the perfect choice. This song was produced at High Pointe Studios in Lenexa, KS. Thanks, Joe, and to the whole Mills family!
