Album Notes
Kim Perkins is a self-taught harper (harpists play Pedal, or Orchestral Harps, harpers play lever, or Celtic Harps). She plays Celtic style, Scottish and Irish music, music of the renaissance as well as some jazz standards. She writes her own compositions, and arranges classics in her own style. At the Albuquerque Celtic Festival in May of 2015, Kim won "Best Performance of the Day" in the harp competition.

Kim was classically trained on the piano as a child, playing both solo and ensemble. As an adult, she heard a Celtic harp played at an outdoor event and fell in love with the instrument. Immediately she bought a "starter" Celtic harp, self-teaching harp music books, and began her journey.
