King B.A.V. was on the first round ballot for the 2003 Grammy nominations for the song Arnold Vs. Arnold. King B.A.V. and the "Rhyme Bomb!" CD were also on the first round ballot for the 2002 Grammy nominations, in four categories. Best Rap Album, Album of The Year, and Best New Artist. Also, the producer of "Rhyme Bomb!" is nominated for producer of the Year.

On his current release "Behind The Wall" King B.A.V. provides an autobiographical account of the highs and lows of his life, prior to, during, and since the success of his two previous CDs. King B.A.V.'s hard-hitting rhymes and beats let you know that he hasn't mellowed. From the Intro to the last bonus track you are taken on a high-speed adventure with the King of Rap. The single, "On The Mic" has an infectious bassline coupled with King B.A.V.'s laid-back delivery, which translates into a high-powered street anthem that will be pumping out of the speakers of every car and SUV in America.

On his last release "Rhyme Bomb!" King B.A.V. mixes hard hitting reality checking vocals, slamming top forty hip/hop beats along with a laid back jazz flow to create a masterpiece that displays his versatility. As you can tell from the 17 songs on this CD, King B.A.V. is a great storyteller who pulls the listener into a song by turning auditory sounds into visual images. The listener is able to imagine that they are experiencing first hand, the situation that King B.A.V. is rapping about. Take a ride on a high-speed thriller as the King and his crew take you from the fast lane to death row.

King B.A.V.'s debut, "Violence Is Golden" spawned two singles, "Give It All To Me" and "Together In My Dreams," which are being played on Top 100 Arbitron rated radio stations across the country including many of the popular KISS FMs and are on the "New Music Weekly" and "Friday Morning Quarterback" charts. The track "A Day In The Life...of The King" describes the rigorous schedule of touring and the excitement of chillin' with the King. "I Got Juice" is a song that demands respect by stating, "You better get back, 'cause you know I got juice." "I'll Take Your Girl Too" outlines the importance of having respect for women. Its contagious hook, will have the listener repeatedly singing this song long after they have heard it. "All's Well In Hell" depicts a jailbreak and the seriousness of crime on our society. Lastly, the ballads "Give It All To Me", and "Together In My Dreams" match a jazz like sound to King B.A.V.'s sensual vocals to create a romantic atmosphere.

While touring, King B.A.V. recently performed in front of 3,000 fans at the world famous Del Mar Fair. Recently, King B.A.V. has had several songs played on Ison Live Radio in Australia and Europe. Four tracks cracked their Top 10 and each week they average 948,267 listeners. This has provided a multitude of international fame for King B.A.V.

King B.A.V. was nominated for Best Rap Artist and Best Rap Album at the 2000 San Diego Music Awards and the song "I Rock" was nominated for Best Rap Song of the Year at the 2001 Just Plain Folks' Awards. King B.A.V. has received a special award by ASCAP five years in a row.

King B.A.V. was born in Chicago, Illinois. He now makes his home in San Diego, California. He began writing songs at the age of 12. King B.A.V. was the founding member, songwriter, and lead rapper for the group "Positive Touch". In 1997, King B.A.V. left "Positive Touch" to focus on his solo career. King B.A.V.'s 1999 EP "I Rock" received national attention when Gavin and Impact both included a favorable review of the CD in their trade magazines.
