Album Notes
KING MARGO is Rachel Coats (upright bass, guitar, vocals) and Lucciana Costa (dobro, piano, vocals). Both Rachel and Lucciana are lifelong performers, road warriors, session players and recording artists. They share a songwriting sensibility rooted in keen humor set to a solid groove, and their genre influences range from Willie Nelson to No Doubt. They live in Nashville, Tennessee and are touring through 2019 in support of their debut record Barely Gettin By, which is set to be released on 11-16-18. KING MARGO has supported Grammy-nominated recording artist Seth Glier across the country, and they have booked several successful solo tours since their inception in 2016. They wrote, recorded and self-produced their debut album Barely Gettin By at Traveling Dog Studios in Nashville, and work exclusively with Grammy Award-winner Keith Hetrick in post-production. The two women are also avid rock climbers, hikers, snowboarders, and are the first musicians to partner with Access Fund to advocate on Capitol Hill for land protection and conservation.
