ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Time features some great jazz artist including Steve Kessler, James "Saxsmo" Gates, Skip Gailes, Keith Horne, Carl Lester, Chad Gustafson, Kevin Davis and Matt Hall. Time was recorded in the studio live with little or no overdubs. I wanted an ensemble recording with some of my favorite tunes with some of my favorite players. I think you'll agree with the help of some of the finest musicians around that we accomplished just that.
I hope you enjoy this recording as much as I did making it.

Johnny Morris

one of the finest jazz recordings you'll find anywhere
The compositions are carefully selected and crafted. From a drummer's perspective, I especially like the short, percussion pieces that are tastefully placed between the ensemble tracks. A fine performance and recording on all fronts. The individual performances are masterful which effortlessly lends to a fine ensemble performance. And again, from a drummer's perspectice, the sound of Kip's drum kit (especially the tone/tuning of the toms) is truly remarkable.
