Album Notes
"Three a.m. Halfway from midnight to morning.Halfway from mourning to something better. Halfway from hurt to healing.
'I miss the man you said you’d be,' she slices, tone-true. Broken songs from an unbroken spirit, awash in beautiful, frenzied, well-whiskeyed weariness, from halfway to the other side. She sings good, too."

- Peter Cooper

Kira Small is a nationally touring singer-songwriter, recording artist, 2015 International Songwriting Competition Winner, 2012 Independent Music Awards winner and former member of Berklee College of Music’s Voice Faculty. She also makes lemons out of lemonade. Kira’s upcoming (June 2016) release 3 AM is one of those albums where an artist, in making sense of a time of personal upheaval, almost accidentally crafts a career masterpiece. She went through a leveling break-up, and only in processing its painful complexity and rebuilding her life could she craft such an emotionally visceral and honest album.

Take Norah Jones, toss in some Bonnie Raitt, and mix it with a whole lot of country sass and passion, and you have Kira. This album is amazing. She sings and writes with the same passion and feeling that she lives her life. She has truly taken you on her journey in song on this cd. Her voice is haunting. I totally enjoyed my purchase and enjoy her other albums as well. Give it a try. you won't be disappointed.. and you may just become a fan!!

Kira’s voice is deep, sultry, and passionate. Each song captures you with an interesting story that’ll just about give you chills. It’s a great listen!
