ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Songs about life at the ranch, on the road and in the rodeo arena can be found right here. Bill " ... grew up on the river, runnin' cows and buildin' fence ..." the river being the Salt Fork of the Brazos River about 10 miles west of Seymour, Texas.

After leaving home for college, he "got bit" by the rodeo bug, settling on bull riding, 'cause it was the cheapest event. And really, all you needed were some spurs and a bull rope with bells; the boots and hat were normal garb for a north Texas country boy. Of course, that was 'way back in the '70s, long before PBR ever started. Anyway, if you've ever wrapped that tail around your hand in the bucking chute, stepped off on your feet to a cheering crowd, stuffed more money in your Wranglers than you've ever seen , THEN drove " ...past countless white lines to the 10 o'clock slack ..." you'll enjoy and identify with this collection of original cowboy songs.

HEY !! Check out the Men's Channel on Dish Network beginning 27 September, 2004, for THE BULL RIDER'S JOURNAL, filmed at selected Texas area bull riding challenges. Seeyalater!
