ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kit’s blend of fractured folk, country rock, primitive guitar, urbane social satire, and sad sack songs about love -- mostly in the key of G -- led the readers of NUVO Newsweekly to vote her Indianapolis’s Best Folksinger in 2006. Her work has also been featured on NPR’s All Songs Considered and was part of the online companion to Neil Young's Living With War.

A fixture in the Midwest music scene, Kit has appeared with the likes of The Avett Bros., Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Murder By Death and The Coke Dares

Kit is currently finishing her third album, "big," her first new music production since her hiatus in 2008. Produced with the support of Saturday Afternoon Housewife's "Women Supporting Women" project, "big" is headed for a 2019 release date.

Praise for Kit’s Music:

"... the lyrics are just brilliant. Witty without being smarmy, honest and emotional without being weepy." - Matt Chandler, THE FREE ZONE

"Kit's newest CD is really a small treasure. She calls her style 'fractured folk' but I see nothing fractured about it. If anything, it's healing." - Barfly, NUVO

"Simply put, this album is beautiful... what she has accomplished spans generations." - Skillet Jones, NEWS4U
