ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Eight modern instrumentals, curious and changeable, held within a stunning, limited and numbered edition cd vessel, suitable for framing. These progressively minded works have been voiced with all manner of instruments ( a few of which you may have actually heard of ) including, but not limited to: butterfly slide, ebow, evelyn's metals, pots, pans and a lovely pair of French whisks.

Then there are the found sounds: electric percolator, the clinking bottles of a grand dairy dream, good morning bird calls, and why not, the Atlantic Ocean.
And we mustn't leave out the instrument impressions: cello as tug boat, splash cymbal as steam engine, and cross sticking on roto tom as clikety clack, train on the track to name but a few. I can imagine a deeper meaning at work and at play here, but for now I'm content to simply enjoy the sometimes joyful, and oftentimes melancholy tones of 'Weathering' - Daphne Dakota for it's Twilight Time, Summer 2011.

Featuring performances by John Orsi - percussions, keyboards and sound sculptures. Manny Silva on a thousand guitars. Mike Marando on guitars and bass.
