Album Notes
Kolton Thomas is a singer songwriter currently residing in Little Rock, Arkansas. His music is primarily acoustic driven with tones of folk, indie, and soft rock. Kolton's lyrics are based mostly on themes of looking inward and asking meaningful questions about our past and present selves.

Find Myself is Kolton's first single released in 2017. The song captures this feeling of lostness when we grow up, explore, and stray too far from who we once were. The song has hopeful tones about finding our way back to who we know we should be.

Kolton describes how he wrote the song:

"The song was written during a trip to Haiti. I was living with a Haitian family for 3 months, and I got talking with the neighbor in broken English and Haitian Kreyol. When I told him I was a musician the Haitian man went and retrieved an old, beat up classical guitar and told me I could borrow it during my stay. When I took it back to my room and tuned it, I found that it actually had a wonderful tone. I played around with this picking pattern that was inspired by a few John Mayer songs I'd learned until I came away with the guitar part to Find Myself. As I played it over an over again that night, the words and the melody started coming to me and I knew immediately there would be something special about the song. There is so much we learn about ourselves when we travel far from home and then make the journey back. Find Myself is written to capture just that, with the hope that if we keep searching, keep believing, we'll come back to who we were even if we feel lost."
