ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Kootz?

Yes.... you heard right.... "The Kootz"!

Welcome to our world!... It's the "Rock 'n Roll with Fiber" world of this group of North Jersey guys and their 'musical friends', who just can't seem to 'retire their guitars'.... and likely never will!

The collective passion for classic rock, pop, soul and blues... and just 'plain old making great music' has been a driving force..... even a 'mantra' in assembling 'The Kootz' band.

In January of 2001, Chris Bolger and Glenn Taylor decided that they, along with Dr. Dave Frisch and several other New Jersey-based musicians from Essex, Union and Bergen Counties whom they'd informally jammed and performed 'pickup gigs' with... had enough 'chemistry' to make a serious 'go' of putting together a well-seasoned and eclectic musical effort... Orginally known as 'The OMJ' (Old Man Jam) Band in its previous incarnation, the foundation was now in place for 'the band' to take flight...

The OMJ had played occasionally around North NJ since 1993, at street fairs and clubs for several years, with consistently positive reactions... This, combined with the fact that most members were in other musical situations that were keeping them from playing the music that they really loved, was a huge motivating force for them to all band together... and 'Kootzify'. The band has been 'booking up' it's schedule and is commited to dates for almost all of the rest of the year.... appearing in and around the 'Garden State' and New York from two to four nights a week, both as a full electric band, as well as an acoustic 'unplugged', version... The charm of 'The Kootz' is their 'mass appeal' ... Audiences everywhere are overwhelmed at the variety of styles and material that are the backbone of 'The Kootz' repertoire. Once you experience 'Kootzdom' live and in person..... you'll feel it too!

Rock Clubs, to resorts and private parties.... Biker bars to bistros and coffee houses; The Kootz are always serving up a wide array of the music that's part of our very core... It's the music that always makes you FEEL GOOD!!!

The Kootz also released their debut studio-CD "Tales From The Endless Bus Tour of New Jersey" in the summer of 2005, which contains a total of 16 tracks. Unlike the live shows, where the personnel-limitation 'downsizes' the band, often to a quartet or trio... ALL 17 of the Kootz-membership-roster are collected, here... and performing this 'ultimate' "Kootz-Koncert"... a tapestry of multiple-member-penned originals... and some not-so-obvious classic cover tunes! Check it out... or go to www.thekootz.com!

A Classic
I have had both the pleasure and privilege to hear The Kootz live, and now I own their CD, Tales From the Endless Bus Tour of New Jersey. This group of men who make up The Kootz are the most proficient and incredibly talented I've heard in many, many years. If you haven't heard them live, you will be enchanted with their CD. The sound is the best I've heard, the instrumentals perfect, and the lyrics everyone can relate to.

At a young age, my personal and long time listening preference was with Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Beethoven, and many more of the classics. Well, for me, Rock and Roll came along, I loved it, and now we have The Kootz to bring it all to us, as well as their own work. Their work is, without a doubt, classic, and will live on forever.

I recommend all to take the pleasure in hearing and owning this CD. It will remain a favorite in your library.

Don't Miss Out
This is a must hear, must have CD. The artful work of The Kootz is fantastic. I haven't heard such greatness since "back in the day". The new tunes the Kootz have created equal that of the great legends of Rock and Roll.

I'm playing this CD over and over and over again. I highly recommend this CD.
