Album Notes
"Teardrops and Elephants" is an original Americana tune that captures retrospect, despair and hope. It was written as a tribute to all the many songs I've written over the years that have never seen the light of day and will eventually be in the cold ground with me.

The vocals were recorded in an ice fishing shanty on a frozen Northern Minnesota lake while the fish weren't biting. While I'd like the song to deliver enough abstraction so you can personalize it or still be curious after dozens of listens, I will say that the chorus phrase "slipping under Beams" has double meaning but primarily refers to the bourbon.
