ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Terrance Gabriel Smith aka Krip Tha Don was born in Canada where he developed a passion for writing rap music. He started writing rhymes at the age of 10. He was introduced to the genre of hip hop music through his two older brothers. They were constantly playing rap music and listening to artists such as 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z, Wu Tang and others. Growing up, Krip started to listen to Eminem, Canibus and other lyrical rappers which truly influenced him. At that point he wanted to become a rapper.

Krip Tha Don along with his family migrated to the island of Trinidad since his parents were decedents from there and currently resides in Princes Town. He met other aspiring artists around area and decided to form a group called Blood Haze. There he gained the experience of recording vocals at his friends home studio. All the members of Blood haze separated due to other priorities in their lives. Krip knew he was the only one serious about rapping as a profession and not a hobby. Since Krip was the lone member in the group, he changed the name Blood Haze to KTD inc.

Since the group broke up, Krip had nowhere to record vocals unless he spent thousands of dollars in a professional studio which he didn’t have. He decided to record vocals on his Lg G3 mobile phone. Even though the quality was not up to par he still recorded songs and started posting it up on his social media pages and YouTube. This is where he gained notoriety from other musical artists around the country.

Eventually Krip saved an abudance of money and built his home studio with professional equipment. He mixes and masters his own material showing his dedication to the craft. He started releasing freestyles on a daily basis for the public which he got a warm reception.
