Dragonfly in full flight
Imagine the grace of winged creatures that alight on reeds, stones and flowers, balanced with the energy of flight itself. Then mingle that perception with the brushstrokes of an illustrator in close contact with wildlife. This is but one entrance to the world of Kristine Allan, one of Australia's most under-estimated and gifted singer-songwriters. Her voice is pure pleasure. I rate this album 5-stars. Although we have a hardcopy, I've downloaded the track "Wandering Star" for listening while writing. Various stylistic references dart across my mind, garnered from genres of progressive folk to alternative pop, but rather than list them, I recommend you discover this music yourself. I simply cannot think of a better example of why corporations can no longer be trusted to sift quality - why we we need to actively seek it and share our recommendations independently, tirelessly, defiantly - because this is the sound of freedom.
