ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The music of “KT,” is a unique blend of retro-pop, rock and soul, along with a taste of the blues. The sound of the album harkens to the past, but points, to the future. If you listen to the first two uptempo tracks, “Rehabilitation” and “U Dumped Me,” you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

“The Best of KT,” has a unified sound, but within that sound, is a variety of styles. For example, if you’re thinking about getting married, Grandma and Grandpa will surely increase your wedding gift after hearing “My Grandparents Said”. On the other hand, social commentary gems like “Freedom Fighters,” and “Gangster Man,” have something to say without being preachy.

Just when I thought I had the album figured out, I was thrown for a loop, by the
comedic songs “I’m an Old Man,” and “ Mary Lou,” both odes to the aging process. Another interesting track, is the New Orleans influenced dance song “Moogajewga.”
I only have one question? “Can somebody please define Moogajewga?

Track number seven “Jesus My Lord,” a gospel song with some interesting vocals.

At the time of this review, my girlfriend told me she liked the song “Bachelor Days,” but I won’t be playing it too often for obvious reasons. But I’m digressing.

All I can say about “The Best of KT” is that this album has a little something for everybody.

Enjoy!
