ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kuntur Taky means the 'condor sings' in Quechua, the ancient language of the Inca still spoken in the Andes. Kuntur Taky was formed and is directed by Carlos Ocampo Santillán in 1999 in the small town at the base of Peru's most famous destination, Machu Picchu, near Cuzco, Peru. Experience the band's enormous talent as composers and musicians on charango, mandolin and guitar, as well as the Andean wind instruments quena and zampoña.
